According to ""La Nation"" news paper, 1 in 25 of the population had some sort an issue with the highly centralized government. If the documented adult population is less than 30% of the overall population approximately, thus almost all the adult population has some sort of complaint against the regime or the abusive power of private employers like US military, Inchcap, Lotta and Al-Gamil that no one can sue them for any wrong doing.
Again according to the report, the country is in state of anarchy thus the majority of the registered voters could probably vote against Piggy, if a fair and free election is be held today.
The article about Djibouti’s labor market ethnic cleansing that I posted last year is one of the complaints the Ombudsman voluntarily intervened in, before the case was forwarded to the tribunal from Ministry of Labor. The Ombudsman had requested an urgent meeting with former US camp Lemonier employees and promised them that he will relay the message to the one and only ruler of the country Piggy himself.
It is not the function of government to keep the citizen from error, but it is the function of the citizen to keep the government from falling into error. In this case the Government Ombudsman not only fails to correct his own government error by not creating proper legislation for the new employment agencies industry, but he also fail to follow-up the case as he promised.
